🌱 Our Story: Overview of U.F.U.
Upfront Foundation Uganda (U.F.U.) began in 2020—not in boardrooms, but in the hearts of a few volunteers united by a dream: to touch lives with kindness. With no funding or structure, we believed every child deserved food, every woman dignity, and every farmer a fair chance.
What started with school supplies, fruit trees, and shared knowledge soon grew beyond us. Witnessing the hunger, hope, and resilience in rural communities, we knew we had to do more. So we registered as a Community-Based Organization, committed to sustainable development through climate-smart farming, education, and deep community trust.
Today, U.F.U. is a movement—proof that lasting change begins not with aid, but with listening, trusting, and empowering people to rise. One village, one farm, one child at a time.
🏛️ Organizational Structure
Upfront Foundation Uganda operates with a lean, transparent, and community-rooted structure. Our leadership includes:
• Executive Director – Provides vision and oversees strategy
• Programs Manager – Coordinates project planning and implementation
• Community Field Officers – Work directly with local families and farmers
• Volunteers & Interns – Support outreach, education, and mobilization
• Finance/Admin Team – Ensures accountability and sustainability
This structure allows us to stay grounded in community needs, while delivering real, measurable impact in every project we undertake.

We serve all the rural districts in Eastern Uganda, with particular focus in the Busoga sub-region for innovative, inclusive, and sustainable community development. We empower communities through the promotion of climate-smart transformation in agriculture and grassroots construction.
